When
we designed Abbys Choice blend, we thought
about our own dogs' activity levels. Our dogs, for the most part,
as with many pet owners receive a moderate level of exercise.
There are days when their exercise level is greater, and there
are days when they just lay around being lazy! We wanted a food
that would accommodate that lifestyle.
Abbys
Choice is a versatile product that enables you to customize
your dog's food to his/her activity level. If you plan to work
your dog in the field, ring or water, you may want to boost the
protein and fat level. (You can contact us for further information
on how to boost protein and fat levels). See below for the guaranteed
analysis.
Abbys
Choice was also developed for pet owners that wanted to
feed a natural and raw food, but were hesitant to feed raw bones.
Bones are a critical part of a raw diet. Another concern that
we have heard often about feeding a raw diet was with regard to
the vegetables and organ meat part of the diet. People were either
not feeding enough or were having problems with spoilage, availability
of the organ meat, or frequently running out of these ingredients.
So, we decided to take that factor out of the equation and make
the hard part of the raw diet easy for everybody. We thought that
we would create a food source base that had all of the main essential
ingredients needed in a raw diet such as the main source of protein
(chicken and turkey), vegetables, organ meat, oatmeal, and of
course the bones of both the chicken and turkey. This food source
is not a complete diet, but a solid base for a diet that will
allow everyone to customize and supplement to their liking.
The
blend of Abbys Choice consists of 80% meat (including
organ meat), along with a 20% vegetable blend. The meat portion
alone is a great source of calcium, protein and Omega 6-fatty
acids. The vegetable blend offers vitamins such as Vitamin C,
Vitamin A, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Omega-3 fatty acids, fiber,
manganese, potassium, folate and Iron along with Polyacetylenes
(which is found in parsley) supplying natural qualities to help
regulate the bodys production of prostaglandin, which is
known to be a powerful tumor promoter.
Abbys
Choice is produced in a facility that is regulated under
The New York State Food and Agriculture Markets. This same facility
is inspected by New York State for the distribution of human grade
food to restaurants. The blend is made in small batches and frozen
immediately. All ingredients are sorted and picked by hand before
final processing.
Handle
Final Choice Food products as if you were handling fresh poultry.
Avoid cross contamination. Take out amount needed for feeding
and refridgerate unused portions. Maximum shelf live is five to
seven days in the refrigerator.
